How are you?

That's pretty much my life right now. Just a mysterious error.

No, that doesn't make much sense.

My life is...a lot of stuff all happening at once.
I have to find a new car (mine was stolen but insurance was very helpful and gave me $12 grand for it)
I have to get a job
I have to WRITE
I have to WRITE
I have to WRITE
I have to make myself WRITE MORE

and I have to paint and draw and all that bullshit to keep me breathing.

Oh! And I have to go swimming at my friend's house a lot because we're going to be living together in an apartment for next semester and have to be fit and in shape and looking good for the ladies.

Busy much?

But it's kind of fun.

I'm working on a painting on a skateboard deck. It's based off of an Anry Nemo piece, and has a bit of a story behind it.
Hell, it's not much of a story. I've gone in for two sessions for a tattoo sleeve, totaling 9 hours of work. My tattoo artist (craigdriscoll.com) redrew the Anry Nemo picture I brought in, and it's his rendition of it that I'm putting on the board.

Should be good. Currently, I'm drawing it up in Photoshop to use as a reference for the actual painting. Going to use acrylics. Will probably take a while, but look forward to it.

And I've already bought a blank skateboard deck for $35, so it's totally happening.

Okay, this didn't get AS MUCH attention as I had hoped, but here goes!

To me, TheJaredWilcurt isn't a name, it's a style. It's something all on it's own, like a genre, personified by his very icon image. His pictures each have their own ability to stand completely alone and drive home a single unifying element. Some might be content to have the thought "Beard, cane, samurai sword" when TheJaredWilcurt is mentioned. I simply think TheJaredWilcurt.

And finally (done already!) we have my good friend
She has made great strides in her traditional art since we first met, but my favorite will always be the Pear (of Doom, that is). Her photography hits you fast and draws you in with dynamic perspectives, and while you're trying to recover, your mind is taken on a journey the likes of dear little Frodo, who finally did make it back to the Shire, but not quite the same.
